Group Dynamics Course

Do you want to learn how you can make your team more effective and improve the group atmosphere by understanding group dynamics? In our Group Dynamics training you will learn how to analyse group interaction and motivate employees to change their behaviour. You will also learn how to guard the balance between individual attention and attention for the group, you will gain insight into group phases and group processes, and you will learn when to use which intervention method.

Topics

During the training the following topics, among others, will be discussed:

  • Group formation:

Making the best use of phases in the group formation process to guide your team

  • Team roles:

In order to achieve performance, different team roles must be represented in a team that reinforce each other, but which can also be contradictory. What are the team roles in your team and how can you combine them successfully?

  • Creating safety and trust:

Paying attention, increasing commitment and involvement of team members, expressing appreciation and fostering a positive work climate

  • Strength of the minority and subsystems:

If the minority is not included in a decision of the majority, the quality, atmosphere and willingness to cooperate and connect suffers.

  • Communicate:

How do you come across as a process facilitator? Content, relationship and procedure

  • Motivating and influencing at group level:

Encouraging, convincing, researching and inspiring, to take employees to a higher level

  • Interaction patterns:

Behaviour begets behaviour. Learn to consciously choose how you act, instead of being pushed into a position

  • Attention:

Finding a balance between individual and group attention

  • Giving feedback and confronting:

This stimulates cooperation, increases the sense of responsibility and makes it possible to adjust undesired behaviour in a constructive way.

  • Dealing with resistance:

Recognise resistance in yourself, the employee or the team. How can you remove tension from the air?

  • Intervening effectively:

Intervening when the group process gets stuck

  • Coordinated improvisation:

A cocktail of resilience, professionalism, self-confidence and trust in the team

  • We strongly believe in doing and experiencing, rather than talking about the content of trainings, which is why all our trainings are active in nature.
