Project leader within complex improvement projects. Technical process expert. Change agent. The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course teaches you to work in a project-based way on multidisciplinary improvement projects from multiple perspectives.

Would you like to be a Green Belt and independently manage a Lean Six Sigma project from A to Z? During the seven-day Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training you will learn all the tools of Lean and Six Sigma and you will experience how they reinforce each other. You will learn to actively manage costs during a change process and at the same time shorten the lead time of the process. By making process improvements in which everything is implemented right the first time (First Time Right).

After completing the programme, you will be able to carry out (complex) change processes within your organisation. This will provide you with the best basis for an optimal performance and higher efficiency within your organisation.

Contents

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course consists of 7 intensive training days. During the training a lot of attention will be paid to change management: how do you get the organisation on board? You will learn how to deal with resistance within your organisation and how to remove it so there is sufficient support for the process improvements.

Topics

Day 1. Brush up on basic Lean Six Sigma knowledge

  • Define: select a project and define the customer requirements
  • Statistics as the starting point for your project
  • Measure: identify and measure factors of influence
  • Analysis: identify and investigate causes of waste and variation
  • Improve: generate solutions and run a pilot
  • Control: establish a plan for project control and monitoring and close the project

Day 2. Lean Thinking

  • Lean Thinking as second nature
  • 5 Womack principles: process improvement through lean working
  • Types of wastes and variations
  • Value Stream Mapping: adding value throughout the process
  • Improvement techniques: working more efficiently and achieving better results

Day 3 to 6. Six Sigma project management

In 4 days we will go deeper into the Six Sigma project structure and related techniques, including:

  • Improving projects according to the DMAIC structure
  • Mastering and applying Lean and Six Sigma principles and tools
  • Analysing problems qualitatively and quantitatively
  • Initiating and actually implementing improvements
  • Embedding results in the organisation
  • Effective process thinking, customer-focused and outside-in work
  • Recognising waste and causes of variation
  • Working with statistical analyses
  • Assemble and lead project teams
  • Facilitating workshops for project staff
  • Change management: how do you get the organisation on board?

Day 7. Lean Six Sigma simulations and exam training

In preparation for the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt exam, you will apply all the material from the previous training days to a practical case. Based on concrete questions, assignments and simulations, you will be taken through a realistic project scenario and learn to successfully use the Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques for the best result. You will take the exam at the end of the training. The costs for the exam are included in the price.

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course is intended for project managers, process managers and change managers who have the ambition to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects. It is the sequel to the Lean Six Sigma Orange Belt course.

Prior knowledge

In order to participate in the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training, you must have the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Orange Belt. Knowledge of Excel is useful.

Language

The training is provided in Dutch as standard. The trainer has a good command of the English language. Use can be made of course material in English. With a minimum of three participants, the training can also be provided entirely in English.
