Learnit Training
Leadership course
  • Stand firm in your role as manager
  • Knows how to inspire and motivate employees
  • Dare to give employees feedback and confront them where necessary
  • Learn how to give employees confidence and space, while keeping you in control
  • Create more engaged employees and get more freedom of movement yourself

To be a good manager, you must know yourself well. Self-reflection is essential and the trick is to find a balance between speaking out, daring to confront, giving feedback and following through. But also: being patient, being able to sit on your hands when necessary and leaving the ownership with your employees. Only then can you keep a close eye on the results, respect the relationship and fulfil this special role with a good dose of energy (and some humour!). During our three-day Leadership training you gain insight into your own leadership style and how to inspire and motivate employees. You experience and deepen skills and techniques in various interview situations and reflect on your own actions.

Yes, I want to know more

"I found it an enjoyable training. Lectures and exercises were well alternated. The trainer could easily switch between the questions from the practice. I found that super. The pace of the lessons was good. The training afternoons flew by and for me that is also a sign that it was good." - Rating: 9.2

Leadership course

To be a good manager, you must know yourself well. Self-reflection is essential and the trick is to find a balance between speaking out, daring to confront, giving feedback and following through. But also: being patient, being able to sit on your hands when necessary and leaving the ownership with your employees. Only then can you keep a close eye on the results, respect the relationship and fulfil this special role with a good dose of energy (and some humour!). During the Leadership training you gain insight into your own leadership style and how to inspire and motivate employees. You experience and deepen skills and techniques in various interview situations and reflect on your own actions.

Topics

During the training the following topics, among others, will be discussed:

  • Coming across as convincing: How do others see you? And how do you see yourself? What do you need to be able to direct well?

  • Optimise communication skills: Observe, investigate and invest in your employee by actively listening, summarising and asking questions when necessary.

  • Strategic use of leadership styles: Discover your own preferred style. What effect does this have on your team? Choose an approach based on what your employee needs.

  • Optimise team composition: By understanding the talents of your employees and using them optimally, you will increase your team's results.

  • Motivating leadership and developing commitment: How do you ensure a team-oriented attitude, responsibility and effort (together with your employee(s))?

  • Delegate and monitor: Which tasks do you delegate to which employee? And how do you keep them as motivated as you are?

  • Consciously using conversation techniques: As an executive, you conduct different types of interviews that require different interviewing techniques. We discuss progress conversations, feedback conversations and bad news conversations.

  • Managing for results: formulating and achieving goals: Make it SMART!

  • Conflict management and dealing with resistance: Recognising and dealing with the emotions and resistance of employees and yourself.

Results

  • You stand firm in your role as manager;
  • You know how to inspire and motivate employees;
  • You dare to give employees feedback and confront them where necessary and
  • You know how to give employees confidence and space, while keeping control.

Target group

This training is ideally suited to (future) leaders, managers, team leaders or coordinators who are in need of (more) insight, background knowledge and skills. Do you recognise yourself in one or more of the points below?

  • You want to lift your employees and your team to a higher level
  • You want to optimise your communication skills and interview techniques
  • You want to deal effectively with resistance, demotivation and conflicts
  • You want to learn to motivate and inspire your employees

Of course, this list is not complete: everyone is different. What do you want to pay attention to within the theme of leadership?

Working method

  • Customisation is our focus: through a telephone intake interview, the trainer makes an inventory of your personal learning goals. On this basis, the definitive programme of the training course is determined.
  • We believe that a safe training atmosphere is important, as you should feel comfortable experimenting with new knowledge and skills. We therefore pay ample attention to this.
  • We strongly believe in doing and experiencing, rather than talking about the content of trainings, which is why all our trainings are active in nature.
  • In order to guarantee the quality of the training, we apply a maximum group size of eight participants, so that we can guarantee the learning effect and efficiency.

Language

The training is provided in Dutch as standard. The trainer has a good command of the English language. Use can be made of course material in English. With a minimum of three participants, the training can also be provided entirely in English.

Sometimes, for example, we would talk about a certain situation that had arisen at work: she would immediately come up with tools that we could use the next time we were in such a situation. She was also good at linking theory to practice. The theory became much clearer to me on the basis of practical examples." - Rating: 8.2
