Neurolinguistic programming (NLP) course: an introduction
NLP is a personal development method that helps you to use your capacities to the full. The method is based on the idea that what someone else can achieve, you can also achieve, with the underlying idea that it is possible to understand and learn the strategies that lie behind successful behaviour in others. The foundations of the method were laid in the 1970s in the United States. Over the past decades, NLP has grown to become a valuable method that is used worldwide in education, business, coaching and various forms of therapy.
In NLP, the spotlight is on the patterns that drive human communication and behaviour. NLP enables us to change these patterns and structures, but also to learn new patterns. The method rejects the notion that we are at the mercy of the context in which we live, in which we grow up. Thanks to our inner resources - and the right motives - we are able to detach ourselves from these environmental factors and achieve the goals we have in mind. NLP provides the tools to manage these resources.
In the training Neurolinguistic programming (NLP): an introduction you will learn to think 'out of the box'. It gives you a new view on reality which makes it possible to realise your goals. NLP teaches you to build rapport - to communicate optimally with your environment, free from subjective value judgements. The results of NLP are impressive. A few examples in a row: more confidence in yourself and in your capacities (what someone else can do, you can also learn), easier learning, less worrying, improved communication with others and yourself, being able to think and act more creatively, being able to regulate emotions and gaining insight into your most important life goals and being able to realise these.
- Insight into your own world model: how do you look at the world and what does that mean for you and your environment?
- Communicating according to NLP: how to increase the effect of your communication?
- Build rapport: build stronger relationships with the people around you
- Setting and achieving goals: what needs to happen for you so that you do achieve your goals?
- Anchoring: how does our brain react to signals and how can you control your brain in this?
In the training we alternate between concrete experience, experimenting with behaviour and techniques, reflecting and exploring theory. This way, the training programme fits in well with all types of participants. There is a lot of action in the training, so you actually experience the effect of new behaviour. This enables the recognition of success. We also emphasise that everyone is responsible for his or her own growth process and must take ownership of it. In our training we invite you to continuously reflect and make connections with practice. Our aim is to increase your insight and to let you make the translation yourself. This will increase the chance of real behavioural change.
This training is intended as an introduction for anyone interested in NLP.
No previous knowledge is required for this training.
The course description above gives you a good indication of what the training will look like.
