Personal coaching

Do you want to change something about your personal or professional situation, but don't know where to start? Do you feel that a training course does not quite give the desired result to achieve your goals? Or do you have the feeling that you are not fully capable of changing a certain way of thinking or behaving permanently? We would like to offer you a helping hand in finding a solution.

Changing your behaviour or thinking is usually easier said than done. It may be necessary to go a little deeper and look at the underlying causes of your situation. We have qualified coaches who can help you with this. In a personal coaching programme, we will go deeper together into your motives, dreams, wishes and ideas, in order to help you realise a lasting and valuable change in your behaviour, situation or thinking patterns.

Why a personal coaching programme?

We offer Personal Coaching in addition to our training courses, as this route is more personal and can have far-reaching results in the longer term. Coaching, even more than a training, is a good way to gain deeper insights and to work independently with your own beliefs and hidden motives. Do you recognise yourself in one of the following questions? Then a coaching programme might be something for you.

The Learnit coaches' working method: four important principles

We attach great importance to a good click between our coaches and the people we coach. If you get along well with the coach, this has a very fruitful influence on the development process and the eventual outcome of the process. That is why we first conduct an intake interview before the coaching starts. If you have a click with the coach and vice versa, the coaching process can continue. If there is no click, no costs will be charged.

We have a clear vision and method of coaching, based on four principles:

Results first

Personal coaching begins with us in the first session by clarifying the coaching question. We then link this to a result-oriented goal: when will the coaching be successful for the employee and for you as the client? Which competences are we going to work with? What are we going to do to achieve that goal in the best possible way?

Own responsibility

Then we start working with a safe and friendly attitude, but at the same time we do not avoid confrontation. Our coaching sessions are insightful and require you to be prepared to look at yourself. We work goal-oriented: the end result is clearly formulated at the start of the coaching and it is our aim to achieve that result in a constructive way. Important in our coaching sessions is that you yourself take responsibility for your own growth process. By experiencing that you yourself are able to step out of existing patterns by gaining insight into yourself, the coach eventually makes himself superfluous.

The Iceberg Theory

During the coaching sessions, we use the so-called 'Iceberg Theory'. This theory considers the behaviour you show as the tip of the iceberg. An iceberg has an enormous mass of ice hidden under the visible tip - under the surface of the water. It is the same with your personality: the visible part, your behaviour, is based on a whole range of (invisible, sometimes unconscious) motives, drives, choices and ideas. In order to change your behavioural pattern, it is often not enough just to behave differently, but you also need to take a good look at what lies beneath the surface and perhaps even reconsider. Personal coaching with us is aimed at gaining insight into what lies beneath the surface of the water. Sometimes it is enough to look closely and understand what you see, and sometimes it is necessary to change your thinking patterns under the surface in order to reach your goal. Whatever the case, our coach will assist you in the process. It is an exciting quest, but you are in safe hands.

In the moment

A coach looks at your behaviour and tries to help you break through certain patterns. This means that your behaviour during a session is also mirrored. A coach sees what happens in a session and works with that, from the 'here and now'. This requires an open attitude and the willingness to be open to this direct form of communication. This is a very effective way of coaching, which gives you insight into your own thinking and acting.

What do you want to pay attention to?

Form of the trajectory

A trajectory consists of five meetings. During the first meeting, you will get to know the coach in an intake interview; this interview will determine whether there is a click between you and our coach. After this you can indicate whether you feel that the process can be continued. Then, if desired, a meeting can take place with you, your manager and the coach. In this way, the coach's question, learning goals, expectations and desired results are clearly discussed and determined.

Then follow the remaining four conversations with your coach (sessions of 1.5 to 2 hours), spread over several months. The dates for coaching are flexible and will be agreed upon with you and the coach. On average, there are two to three weeks between sessions to allow what has been discussed to sink in and to give you enough time to reflect and to observe any changes in behaviour and thoughts in your work practice.

After the five coaching sessions, there is an evaluation session. In the two or three-way conversation between you, the coach and (possibly) your manager, it will be determined whether the process can be concluded satisfactorily or whether a number of follow-up sessions are desirable. The aim is to complete the process in five sessions, but sometimes a number of follow-up sessions are desirable. During the evaluation, it is determined whether this is necessary and if so, how many sessions will be needed. Incidentally, the introductory meeting, during which we check whether there is a click between you and our coach, is free if you choose not to continue with the programme. So you can always say 'no'.

The conversations between you and your coach preferably take place at one of our locations. Our experience shows that it is pleasant not to be present at the workplace during the coaching, so that the coaching can take place undisturbed and the person being coached can have some distance from his or her daily work. The two or three sessions can, if desired, take place at the office.

Coach location

We offer our locations in Amsterdam and Groningen for the coaching sessions free of charge. The rate is in that case € 250,00 per session (excl. VAT). For a shorter travel time for the coached, it is possible to use another location of Learnit Training, for example in Breda, Assen or The Hague. In that case, the rate is € 300.00 per session (excl. VAT). A third option is in-company coaching: in that case, the rate is € 250.00 per session, with an additional € 0.29 travel allowance per kilometre (excl. VAT). You can always request a tailor-made offer without obligation.

Language

The training is provided in Dutch as standard. The trainer has a good command of the English language. Use can be made of course material in English. With a minimum of three participants, the training can also be provided entirely in English.
