Rust, a promising programming language

New programming languages appear every day. Most of them disappear again quickly, but sometimes one stands out. Take Rust for example, a young programming language first published by Mozilla in 2015. Experts in the technology field quickly assessed Rust as a promising programming language because of its clear syntax, good readability, large number of application options, excellent performance, extensive ecosystem and strong community. In recent years, Rust has been embraced by many leading organisations and used to develop well-known applications such as Dropbox, Windows and Yelp.
As a programming language, Rust is similar to C and C++ but safer and faster. Moreover, Rust offers better protection against a large number of memory problems in these two languages. This results in less stack overflows and better performance in general. Rust is very suitable for building things like the following:
  • Web browsers
  • Games
  • Operating systems
  • Drivers
  • Compilers
  • Microcontroller firmware
  • Websites
Do you want to learn programming in Rust or better understand the differences between Rust and programming languages like C / C++? Join the three-day course Programming in Rust.

Contents of the course Programming at Rest

In the Rust Programming course you will learn to develop software with the latest version of the emerging programming language Rust. First, we'll cover what sets Rust apart from other programming languages and the benefits of programming in Rust.
By alternating theory, demos and practical exercises, you get to know all aspects of Rust. And you apply what you have learned directly to situations from daily practice. After finishing the Rust programming course you will receive the official Learnit certificate for Rust programming.

Topics of training Programming at Rest

The following topics, among others, are dealt with during this programming course Rust:
  • Introduction to the Rust programming language
  • Data types
  • Flow control
  • Ownership
  • Functions
  • Modules
  • Generic functions
  • Scoping
  • Traits
  • The standard library

References

The course Rest is assessed with an average of 8.2.

"In a short period of time, unfortunately I was unable to attend the second day, I learned very practical applications."

"Learned many tricks

"Tailor-made training! From the intake, the training was adapted to our (my) wishes. The training fits nicely with the practice."

"The training was given at a good pace and the participants were able to keep up. It was not a large group, so there was enough room for the individual. The material was in a logical order, so that by continuing the training you kept repeating the basics, which keeps them up."

"Very nice school to learn a variety of training with dedicated experts."
