If you understand the background of a conflict and know how to act wisely, you can make sure that conflicts are positively extracted! In our two-day training we are working on analyzing conflicts, learning to recognize Aankopingspunten and talking techniques that you can use. Almost everyone is in a conflict. Because conflicts are often accompanied by emotions, they can lead to undesirable situations when escalating. You can feel angry, powerless and misunderstood during a conflict, which will not be otherwise for the other party. The word ' conflict ' therefore evokes a negative feeling for most people, while a conflict also offers opportunities. Solving a conflict can lead to a situation where both parties are ultimately better off than before. If you understand the background of a conflict and know how to act wisely, you can make sure that conflicts are positively extracted!

In the Training conflict Management You learn to understand the background of conflicts, so you can deal with them adequately. Conflicts often arise from disagreements, where people do not (well) listen to each other and therefore no longer come to solutions. We therefore pay attention to analyzing conflicts and learning how to identify connecting points. The roles that the parties play and the techniques you can use are also discussed. Through a lot of practice you experience yourself what effect a different attitude and approach can have during conflicts.

Topics

During the training, the following topics can be discussed:

  • Different types of conflicts: What kind of conflicts do you have to deal with?

  • How do we communicate with each other?: Understanding how the communication process works.

  • Verbal, non-verbal and Paralinguale communication: Your body language and tone make the message.

  • What causes conflicts?: Awareness of noise factors in the communication process. Our own frame of reference is often the source of miscommunication and conflict.

  • Different views on the same conflict: What are facts and what are interpretations?

  • Your own role in a conflict: Understanding the own way of conflict handling and applying different conflicthanterings styles.

  • Investigate your core qualities and pitfalls: behind every trap a quality is hidden, and vice versa is a trap in every quality. Understanding this helps you communicate more effectively.

  • Obstructive thoughts and beliefs: Why are you afraid to enter the conflict?

  • Use call techniques: de-escalate conflicts by listening well, naming causes and bottlenecks, summarizing the contradiction question, by daring to ask when needed and connecting points constructively.

  • Coping withresistance: recognizing and dealing with emotions and resistance of the other and yourself.

  • Promoting cooperation: creating a problem analysis and trying to discover and pursue mutual interests.

Target

This training is ideally suited for participants who are (frequently) involved in conflict situations, or who try to avoid them as much as possible. Do you recognize yourself in one or more of the following points?

Method

  • Customised work is central to us: by means of an intake interview the trainer will enumerate your personal learning goals. On this basis, the final programme of the training is determined.
  • We find a safe training atmosphere important because you have to feel comfortable when experimenting with new knowledge and skills.
  • We strongly believe in doing and experiencing, rather than telling about the content of training, which makes all our trainings active in nature.
  • In order to guarantee the quality of the training, we apply a maximum group size of eight participants for the training, so that we can guarantee the learning effect and efficiency.

Language

The training is provided by default in Dutch. The trainer controls the English language. English course material can be used. When registering at least 3 participants, the training can also be provided entirely in English.
