HTML e-mail course

To create a good e-mail or newsletter in HTML yourself, it is necessary to have knowledge of HTML and CSS. Even when using an existing template, it is highly desirable to have some knowledge of HTML and CSS. If online services are used to send the newsletter, this already takes a lot of work off your hands. Sending newsletters with a CMS such as Wordpress can also simplify the work considerably. Nevertheless, a good basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is indispensable when using these kinds of services.

During our three-day training course on HTML e-mail (XHTML), ample attention is paid to these two accessible languages. All building elements needed to create an HTML newsletter with CSS are covered during the training. Specific background information on HTML newsletters will also be provided. Finally, during this training there will be enough room to look at different tools which are used by professionals to make the development process as efficient as possible.

The following topics may be covered during the training:

  • HTML and CSS
  • E-mail properties
  • Different HTML editors
  • Modular development
  • Project management
  • SEO and image optimisation
  • Techniques for inciting action
  • Responsive design
  • Testing and Plain text E-mail
  • Online CMS systems, click rates and login management

Because the training is given in the Open Learning Style, the content and depth of the topics can always be tailored to your personal learning goals and learning pace.

Target group

This training is suitable for people who want to work professionally with HTML e-mails, without spending a lot of time figuring out how and why.

Course format

This training is offered on the basis of our Open Learning Method. This means that under the active guidance of our trainer, you work independently to master the material. This enables you to achieve your learning goals at your own pace without being hindered by the faster or slower pace of your fellow course members. The trainer will make sure you stay on track and achieve your learning goals. This type of learning allows for customisation. You are given the opportunity to bring in examples from your own practice and IT environment, which will help you learn even more specifically .

The training is provided in Dutch as standard. The trainer has a good command of the English language. Use can be made of course material in English. With a minimum of three participants, the training can also be provided entirely in English.
