ITIL Foundation Course

Do you work in an ITIL® environment? Then the ITIL® Foundation course is the basis for you. 

ITIL is a widely accepted framework for successful IT service management that is linked to training and certification. ITIL 4 has evolved to the current version by reshaping many of the established ITSM practices in the broader context of customer experience, value streams and digital transformation; as well as embracing new ways of working, such as Lean, Agile and DevOps.

ITIL 4 provides the guidance that organizations need to address new service management challenges and exploit the potential of modern technology. It is designed to provide a flexible, coordinated and integrated system for effective management and control of IT services.

"ITIL Foundation" is the first ITIL 4 training and the latest evolution of the most widely accepted guidelines for ITSM. The audience ranges from IT students taking their first steps in service management to experienced professionals familiar with previous versions of ITIL and other industry best practice methods.

The topics in this training can be adopted and adapted for all types of organisations and services. To show how the concepts of ITIL can be practically applied to the activities of an organization, the ITIL training will contain many practical examples and exercises. Eventually this training will guide the participants to the exam that leads to the official ITIL Foundation 4 certificate.

Target

Anyone who works or wants to work according to the ITIL® method can start using the ITIL® Foundation course, especially IT professionals, business managers or process owners. After this Foundation course it is possible to participate in the other ITIL® courses.

Exam

At the end of the ITIL® Foundation course you will take the ITIL® Foundation exam. The exam, which is offered via PeopleCert and can be made both online and in class, consists of 40 multiple choice questions that have to be answered in one hour. If you answer 26 questions or more correctly, you will have passed and receive the ITIL® Foundation certificate. The costs for the exam are included in the price.

Prior knowledge

No specific prior knowledge or level is required to follow the ITIL® Foundation course.

Language

The training is provided by default in Dutch. The trainer controls the English language. English course material can be used. When registering at least 3 participants, the training can also be provided entirely in English.
