Course management of changes and reorganisations

Organizations are changing continuously and at ever faster pace. The employees who are confronted with these changes can have difficulty with this. When implementing major reorganisations, you can deal with feelings of frustration and incomprehension among the employees. Since they are the building blocks of a company, it is important that their questions and possible dissatisfaction are handled correctly. By gaining insight into the how and why of resistance it becomes possible to effectively respond to it with a convincing communication plan.

In the training leadership of changes and reorganizations you learn to manage both the soft and the hard side of a change process and to minimise the negative effects within the organization as much as possible. It will look at how you can keep your employees as motivated and productive as possible, how to create support for a change and what to communicate to them. You will also learn to design and implement a change plan. Your own style of leadership in a change process and how you can work as effectively as possible will be central to this training.

Topics

  • The (possibly specific) advantages and disadvantages of changes
  • The effects of changes on organization and employees
  • Formulating goals and to propagate and achieve them
  • Motivating leadership: creating support and motivation
  • Influencing group processes
  • Coping with resistance and negativity
  • Phases of change: orientation, elaboration and implementation phase

  • You want to involve your employees more in dealing with changes

Method

  • Customised work is central to us: by means of an intake interview the trainer will enumerate your personal learning goals. On this basis, the final programme of the training is determined.
  • We find a safe training atmosphere important because you have to feel comfortable when experimenting with new knowledge and skills. We therefore devote ample attention to this.
  • We strongly believe in doing and experiencing, rather than telling about the content of training, which makes all our trainings active in nature.
  • In order to guarantee the quality of the training, we apply a maximum group size of eight participants for the training, so that we can guarantee the learning effect and efficiency.

"During this training, theory and practice alternated well! The theory discussed strengthened my conviction as to why you can act in a certain way in certain situations. I thought the trainer came across as very professional. You notice that she really knows what she's talking about and that she was very good at responding to what we needed at that moment. For example, sometimes we talked about a certain situation that happened at work: she came up with handles that would be useful for us to apply in such a situation the next time. She was also able to connect theory with practice. Using practical examples, the theory became much clearer to me." - Assessment: 8.2
