learnit Leadership for Women

Course Management for women

It is known that companies with both female and male managers achieve better results than companies with only men at the top. However, female executives sometimes experience more resistance than their male counterparts, as evidenced by research. If you are too professional and business, that is perceived as rigorous, while feminine and inliving are perceived as incompetent or naive. It is the art to find a good balance between your business side and your warmer, social side.

In the training leadership for women we start working on how you can use your femininity and how you can still happen to business at the same time. This training makes you aware of your strengths and qualities, allowing you to position yourself as a female manager better within and outside the company.

Topics

  • Use both your ' masculine ' and ' feminine ' side
  • Are assertive, defending your interests and above all not being too modest
  • Differences and similarities between the two sexes
  • Negotiate
  • Improve your communication skills
  • Recognizing and deploying leadership styles
  • Formulating and achieving goals
  • Motivating leadership
  • Get insight into your leadership style
  • Delegating and checking
  • Conflict management
  • Developing engagement with employees
  • Optimizing team Composition (s)
  • Group processes and their impact on your work situation
  • Coping with resistance of employees

Target

The training is ideally suited for female executives, managers, team leaders or coordinators who recognize themselves in one of the following points:

  • You want to increase your effectiveness as a manager
  • You want to have a strong theoretical foundation about the managership
  • You want to use your power as a woman in your job
  • You are looking for the practical experience: how is it to (otherwise) to be sent?;
  • You want to be firmer in your leading shoes.

Method

  • Customised work is central to us: by means of an intake interview the trainer will enumerate your personal learning goals. On this basis, the final programme of the training is determined.
  • We find a safe training atmosphere important because you have to feel comfortable when experimenting with new knowledge and skills. We therefore devote ample attention to this.
  • We strongly believe in doing and experiencing, rather than telling about the content of training, which makes all our trainings active in nature.
  • In order to guarantee the quality of the training, we apply a maximum group size of eight participants for the training, so that we can guarantee the learning effect and efficiency.

Language

The training is provided by default in Dutch. The trainer controls the English language. English course material can be used. When registering at least 3 participants, the training can also be provided entirely in English.

"During this training, theory and practice alternated well! The theory discussed strengthened my conviction as to why you can act in a certain way in certain situations. I thought the trainer came across as very professional. You notice that she really knows what she's talking about and that she was very good at responding to what we needed at that moment. For example, sometimes we talked about a certain situation that happened at work: she came up with handles that would be useful for us to apply in such a situation the next time. She was also able to connect theory with practice. Using practical examples, the theory became much clearer to me." - Assessment: 8.2
