Course RET: Stop worrying
Not the things themselves make the people upset, but their thoughts about it. -Epictetus (philosopher, 55-135 N. Chr.)
Often it is not events themselves that upset us, but the way we think about them and how we deal with them. This means that the solution to a problem is often in your own hands. By turning ineffective thoughts and feelings into effective thoughts and feelings, you will feel more self-assured from now on and will be able to better achieve your personal goals.
In the training RET: Stop worrying! obstructing situations, thoughts and feelings will be analyzed in more detail. By increasing the insight into the functioning of your body and mind, you will be able to better understand your behaviour. By gradually defying obstructing thoughts and practicing with practical situations, you will exhibit more effective behavior. This enables the recognition of success. We also emphasise that everyone is responsible for their own growth process and must take ownership of them.
