Yes, I want to know more

Remote Collaboration Course

Isn't collaboration always about making good agreements? These agreements are usually made during a meeting, but it is also possible to make them online. Because you are not sitting across from each other, there are a number of points to bear in mind. When working together, both off and online, it is important to know how a team functions. Are they working well together? Do they listen to each other? Is everyone's talent accepted and respected? During the remote cooperation training, we highlight all the issues that are important for good cooperation. From communication to dealing with resistance.

Especially when working at a distance, it is important to really communicate well and clearly. Because you partly miss the other person's body language, it comes down to good and active listening and having insight into both sides of the communication process. Does your story come across and do you understand exactly what the other person is saying?

During the remote cooperation training, cooperation comes first. We discuss a number of specific methods, such as LSD (listening, summarising and questioning) and making SMART agreements. In addition, we discuss what is different about working remotely. How does it affect you not to be physically present? How do you keep your attention? How do you ensure that you do not get distracted during online conversations or meetings? How do you negotiate at a distance, while also giving something to the other person? How do you deal with resistance?

The following topics, among others, can be covered during the training:

  • How does a remote team function?
  • How do you ensure commitment at all times?
  • The impact of online and offline collaboration
  • How do you motivate yourself and your colleagues?
  • Staying involved and connected.
  • What is good communication, online and offline?
  • Dealing with different personalities
  • How do you negotiate online?
  • Setting goals (SMART)
  • Dealing with resistance

Teaching methodology

In the online training we alternate between concrete experience, experimenting with behaviour and techniques, reflecting and exploring theory. This makes the training programme suitable for all types of participants. There is a lot of action in the training, so you actually experience the effect of new behaviour. This enables the recognition of success. We also emphasise that everyone is responsible for his or her own growth process and must take ownership of it. In our training we invite you to continuously reflect and make connections with practice. Our aim is to increase your insight and to let you make the translation yourself. This will increase the chance of real behavioural change.

The course description above gives you a good indication of what the training will look like. However, the content may vary slightly from training to training, depending on the prior knowledge, practical experience and learning goals of the participants. In individual intake interviews prior to the training, the learning goals of the participants are inventoried. The definitive programme of the training course is determined on this basis.
